Jules Sturgess Automotive was pleased to be presenting PPF (paint protection) work at the Motor Show East last weekend.
On our stand were the company's track day replica CAV GT40 and Lotus Elise, and we are incredibly grateful to two customers who lent us cars that we had completed paint protection on: a Carrera GT and Aston Martin Vanquish S Red Arrow. The cars on the stand certainly attracted attention and were a total crowd pleaser.

Carrera GT - Front End Plus Paint Protection (PPF) package
Consider by many as the world's greatest supercar at the time of manufacture, the Carrera GT is powered by a 5.7 litre V10 engine producing 450 kW (603 hp); the original concept car featured a 5.5 litre version rated at 416 kW (558 hp). Porsche claim the car accelerates from 0 to 60 mph (97 km/h) in 3.5 seconds with a maximum speed of 330 km/h (205 mph).
Porsche kept the stunning Carrera GT, their fastest road car to date, a closely guarded secret until its unveiling at the 2000 Paris Motor Show. The carbonfibre bodied GT gives spectacular performance from its 604bhp mid mounted V10 and, as we've come to expect from Porsche, stopping power will be awesome thanks to the use of 15 inch ceramic disks and 6-pot callipers at the front! Straight line grunt is superb (0-100mph in under 8 sec) but a 7min 30sec Nurburgring lap is more of a testament to the GT's handling prowess.
Thank you to Mr K. Johnson for the loan of the vehicle for the show.
This car had a front end plus paint protection package. However, he was so pleased with the result, we are completing the PPF wrap so the stunning black Carrera GT is fully covered.
Aston Martin Vanquish S - Full wrap PPF packaage
Aston Martin Cambridge brought together two of the most iconic marquees in British history through the creation of ten ‘Vanquish S Red Arrows’ models as a unique tribute to the Royal Air Force Aerobatic Team, the Red Arrows, and to help raise funds for a Service charity.
The Vanquish S Red Arrows is the result of collaboration between Q by Aston Martin, the Royal Air Force and Aston Martin Cambridge with approval from Ministry of Defence, resulting in one of the most exclusive Aston Martins ever built.
The models are packed with customised details highlighting the partnership between two world famous brands and showcasing UK engineering excellence, precision and innovation. The first nine models in the collection were available to purchase, each handed to their new owners at a personalised and exclusive event that included a look behind the scenes of both Aston Martin and the world famous Acrobatic Team.
Thank you to Mr J. James for the loan of the vehicle for the show.

Our CAV GT40 is available for track days.
Thankfully the sun came out on Sunday and people poured into Newmarket Race Course to visit the show. This is the first year that Iliffe Media have put the show on and, in fairness, there is a lot to learn for next year. The most exciting thing for us has been the request for our input in designing next year's show. Guaranteed, next year will be a great success and with the ideas that are on the table already will make it a show to remember. We are thrilled to have been invited onto the planning team.
